Tasmania is one of the best places on earth to see the southern lights. In fact, when the Sun spits out a solar flare, and all those charged particles race through space toward Earth, the resulting aurora is visible from just about anywhere in Tasmania. It is a relatively rare phenomenon so it doesn't happen every night, of course. But when Lady Aurora decides to come out and dance, it is something magnificent to behold. We are now coming into a Solar Maximum, which means that the Sun is waking up and becoming more active. This in turn means that aurorae are likely to occur more often. So, if you've ever wanted to see the aurora, dust off your camera, book in to see the Glow Show, grab a comfy chair and learn about all sorts of amazing things that glow in the dark in Tassie.

Come curious, leave inspired.
