Be Wildlife Aware

There's so much gloriously weird and wonderful wildlife in Tasmania, and sadly, so much of it gets killed on Tassie roads each year. Nobody plans to hit an animal, but in Tassie, we need to plan to not hit an animal.

1. Avoid driving between dusk and dawn: you WILL encounter wildlife

2. If you must drive between dusk and dawn, drive extremely slowly - we suggest 20 km / hr

3. If you hit an animal, you still may be able to save its young. Here's how: check for pouch young; if you find young or if the animal requires verterinary care, please call the Bonorong Rescue 24/7 Hotline on 0447 264 625 (0447 ANIMAL)
